This is a print for mothers day promotion yet they ignore stereotypes of pink and go with a baby blue. The blue contrasts the yellow and makes it stand out more. It is psychologically known that if you are hungry then food will seem brighter and the fact that they chose a somewhat pale blue instead of an energetic blue could be a marketing trick.

The use of the black background represents how serious this topic is. The black in the background has connotations of danger, death, evil and fear. Also the use of a baby makes you feel saddened also if you are a parent and see this it might distress you and make you rethink your actions of smoking around your children or smoking at all. This image should distress all and no one wants to see a baby choking.
